Brief Introduction to DZ Series Molecular Distillation Equipment

The DZ series, also known as short-range molecular distillation equipment, is a continuous scraping membrane high vacuum purification device that relies on the difference in molecular mean free path to separate liquid-liquid mixtures. It is designed specifically for low-temperature refining of thermosensitive, high boiling point, and easily oxidizable materials.
1、 Core principle
The device is equipped with a central condenser, and the inner wall of the evaporator is the heating surface. The distance between the hot and cold surfaces is very short (less than the average free path of light component molecules); Under high vacuum (0.1~10Pa), the material is spread into an ultra-thin liquid film by a rotating scraper, and light molecules are directly flown to the internal condenser for liquefaction and collection. The heavy components are discharged downward along the cylinder wall without separation by boiling point difference, greatly reducing the evaporation temperature.
2、 Main structure
Main distiller: jacketed heating cylinder, rotating scraper rotor, built-in coil condenser, mostly made of 304/316L stainless steel;
Vacuum unit: a combination of multi-stage vacuum pumps to maintain a high vacuum environment;
Import and export system: metering feed pump, light/heavy component receiving tank;
Temperature control transmission and electrical control: thermal oil heating, variable frequency speed regulation, PLC temperature and vacuum linkage control;
Complete specifications: evaporation area of 0.05~50 square meters, covering laboratory small-scale, pilot scale, and industrial production models (DZ0.05, DZ1, DZ10, DZ30, etc.).
3、 Core advantages
Low temperature separation: Under vacuum, it evaporates far below the boiling point of the material at atmospheric pressure, avoiding the decomposition, discoloration, and deactivation of thermosensitive materials;
Short heating: The material stays in the thin film state for only a few seconds, and the degree of thermal damage is relatively low;
High separation accuracy: can separate components with boiling points close to those that are difficult to separate by ordinary distillation;
High evaporation efficiency: Forced turbulent film, with much better heat and mass transfer effects than falling film and kettle distillation;
Continuous sealed operation: isolated from air, suitable for easily oxidizable and volatile materials, with no risk of solvent residue.

Used for desolvation, deodorization, decolorization, purification, and concentration of various materials:
Oil industry: fish oil, plant essential oils, fatty acids, dimer acid purification;
Medical spices: natural vitamins, plant extracts, essence and refined spices;
Chemical industry: resin, lubricating oil, plasticizer, monomer impurity removal;
Separation of food, pesticides, and environmental waste liquid resources.
